The mandate of the Livestock Division is to promote animal production so as to improve on animal resources, institute measures that will enhance the nutritional status and incomes of the rural poor, and provide animal production and health services.
Division structure
To achieve its mandate, the division operates two units; the Animal Health and Animal Production units. The Division is headed by a Director and supported by the Deputy Directors of Animal Health and Animal Production. The current staff structure is shown in the diagram below.
